Trend Spotting | Asian Persuasion

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

It's days like this that I'm most thankful for the home I've created around me.
When I've been tossed around and beat about, I linger about my objets d'art and remain spellbound until they snap me out of the tough demands of my work life and slowly see back to my happy place.

I visit each piece like she's a long lost friend barely finding her way home and we regale each other with stories of where we've been and what we've come to learn.

What I've learned is that everything I choose to surround myself with should illicit feelings so fond that I can't help but sense great fortune's simply an eye-opening away. A bit melodramatic I know, but start living the life you deserve and it just might work out desirably for you.

Currently it's the Asian pieces that's grounding me, go figure. There's just something about these formidable and mysterious antiques that help me to keep calm and carry on.
