|Making Your Own Holiday Tree|
I don’t know about you, but shelling out over $100 for a Christmas tree doesn’t sound very merry to me.
For a less expensive DIY option, gather long-stemmed branches from your backyard (or local nursery) and spray paint all the limbs gold. Arrange branches in a large vessel (at least 12” high) and hang colored ornaments in varying shapes and sizes. Try to decorate using only 1-2 colors max (my faves are pink/purple with gold) to keep the look tasteful and elegant.
If you're looking for something a little more subtle (but just as festive) use white branches instead, adorn with gilded leaves, and bunch ornaments at the base. Simple and romantic, very old-world with a Parisian touch...
...or monochromatic for a stark and minimal aesthetic...
If you have loads of manzanita branches leftover from previous parties, this upcycled option is the best fit for you! And best of all??? TOTALLY budget-friendly and really almost FREE!
