Winter Wedding Evening Wear

Happy December hunnies!
Can you believe it’s the END of the year already? Holy moly I swear the time goes by like double-time in your 30’s! ‘Tis the season for holiday soirées, festive gatherings, and my FAVE: Winter weddings!

Trend Spotting | Burl Wood

My profession demands that I must shop for a living. Oh the woes of scouring trade sources, décor shops, flea markets, online websites (the list goes on and on) to find the latest and greatest in everything design.

Home Tour | Ana Morodan

I’ve been on one of those binges of eat/sleep/design/repeat where sleep seems to be the ultimate luxury from the list. Going nonstop ‘til year’s end makes me dream of the day I can plop down in the comfort of a cozy cushy velvet sofa with a salacious read in one hand and a tequila cocktail in the other...

Home Tour | Jean Louis Deniot

I’ve been living in color for so many years now it’s a nice change of pace to finally cool it down and relax the vibe before redecorating all over again. The ongoing curse of every interior designer y’all.

On Friendship...

Another year older, another year wiser as the saying goes. For every candle I add to my birthday cake I’m making a wish to keep that momentum going. While I try my best to live each day with a gracious and grateful heart, it’s celebrations like these that remind me of just how far I’ve come.

Puerto Vallarta Photo Diary Part III

Happy Monday hunnies! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! My sister got married this past Saturday and while I'm still recovering from all the hoopla (and collating pix for the next post), here's the LAST little tidbits of my latest tropical escape to Puerto Vallarta…

Puerto Vallarta Photo Diary Part I

Finally back to reality and finding out how much tropical vacations really do take a toll on your mind and body. While city trips usually leave me feening for more culture and history, island excursions (however much they’re supposed to relax you) somehow seem more taxing.

#JKID Concept | Vintage Glam Wedding

It’s pretty safe to say that I am Jack/Jill of all trades, but master of NONE my loves. Aside from my 24/7 professional career as an interior designer, I sometimes moonlight as event planner for birthdays, baby showers, and most recently weddings! Seeing as how I’m very far from planning my own (by design, of course ;D) I really do love all the hoopla surrounding wedded matrimony when it comes to others.

Food Porn Friday | Fig and Olive Brunch | Newport Beach

Brunch is easily my FAVE meal of the day. Something about an All-American spread of griddle favorites, steak and pommes frites, veggie omelets, and an assortment of cured meats and cheeses that get my mornings started off right. Add bottomless champeezy, a gaggle of girlfriends and you’ve got an early start to the best day party ever my loves!

Hong Kong Photo Diary Part I

I can still hear the rhythmic melody of Cantonese locutions drumming in my ears. Horns honk, taxis zip by and throngs of people litter the streets singing the story of their lives from morning to midnight. As soon as we stepped foot off the bus that transported us from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, we were immediately immersed in not only a different country, but an entirely different state of mind.

Pajama Dressing in Hong Kong

With temperatures reaching the high 80’s and a humidity level that’s indicative of tropical regions, I knew dressing for my China trip would be no easy feat. Of course made easier by my ULTIMATE packing list (here) but I still can’t predict the weather gods y’all.

Top Packing Tips and ULTIMATE Travel Checklist

I am the self-professed Queen of organizing y’all. From my closet, to the bedroom, the studio, and beyond, I’ve got systems on top of systems to check and balance this brain into a highly functioning method of order. I get to the point where I’m such a Nazi about structure that I’ve been known to organize things right outta its place, anyone else guilty of that?

Trend Spotting | Floral Wallpaper

My love for large scale floral will never waiver. I’ve been known to install wall-to-wall (and sometimes ceiling!) clad coverings with the prettiest blooms and abstract buds that instantly transport you into a fantasy land far, far away.

Design 101 | How to Install a Gallery Wall

Hello hunnies and happy hump day! I recently sent a PB (public bulletin) on my FB asking friends and fans to send over some design inquiries relating to interior design. With Haute Khuuture’s 4 year anniversary on the horizon, there’ll be TONS of new series and blog topics mainly focusing around pro tips and tricks when designing and decorating your home. This one’s for the masses since I’m sure there’s many out there who have NO idea where to begin when installing a gallery wall. It’s really quite simple and here’s how you do it:

Design 101 | How to Plan a Design around your Space

My absolute favorite phase of design is the installation. Months of researching, shopping, and planning culminate and manifest into a space truly designed for a better way of life. It’s where a house becomes a home heightening an intrinsic awareness of living your BEST life ever.
