While I’ve attended many-a-weddings in my time, there’s only a handful that completely stand out as a cut above the rest.

A Lavish Affair

There’s always a memorable time to be had, especially when celebrating longtime love nuptials from my dearest, but something about getting decked out with all my baes during the holidays that really just DOES it for me. Long flowing gowns, layers of silk and chiffon, updos and retro curls, everywhere you turn another standout beauty to match the magic of such an elegant and lavish affair.

Ceremony

We start off with an afternoon ceremony at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Seal Beach, a darling little spot tucked away right off the Pacific Coast Highway. Teresa and Koji actually attended high school together over 15 years ago and began their unrequited love affair after having been reacquainted a few years back. It’s amazing to think the love of your life was right there under your nose and all it took was some time for things to fall right where they should.

My party posse aka BOL aka sexy MILF mamas!
CANNOT imagine my life without these crazies <3

Cocktail Hour

Beautiful light-soaked entry to the Loft on Pine in Downtown Long Beach.  Such a gorgeously industrial-glam vibe with 30ft ceilings, exposed brick walls, and we haven’t even landed on the upper level reception area yet.

Reception

So lavish!  Dying over that backlit metal grille and the French empire chandeliers. Totally speaks to my boho-luxe style…

And the roses!  Oh the roses were gorgeously draped and spilling over every layered surface…

I’m a sucker for the colder winter months when (faux) fur and gothic red lips seems de rigueur don’t cha think?!

There were drinks aplenty, dancing ‘til dawn and everything a distant memory as the end of the year creeps upon us.
