You’ve read all about my trip to Whistler and Vancouver, British Columbia HERE, now catch all the food porn that I’ve been dying to share with you since then!

Fisherman’s Terrace Seafood Restaurant

4151 Hazelbridge Way | Richmond, BC | V6X 0A4, Canada

Located in the top level of the Aberdeen Plaza, Fisherman’s Terrace opens earlier for dim sum than most restaurants in the surrounding area so by 10am the crowds were already rolling in. Richmond is home to a huge Chinese/ Cantonese population so you can bet your ass the Chinese food here in British Columbia is friggin DANK!!! I can still taste the salty savory crunch of the delectable chicken knees (seen below). It’s dim sum guys~! Be adventurous with your menu options, pick a few items you’ve never tasted before, and let the chefs surprise you with their culinary prowess.

Miku Restaurant Vancouver

200 Granville St # 70 | Vancouver, BC | V6C 1S4, Canada

There is not one “TOP SUSHI” list in Vancouver that doesn’t have Miku on it. Locals and tourists clamor for a coveted spot at this super chic establishment located along the Burrard Inlet next to Canada Place. Miku Sushi features a full bar, lounge, waterfront patio, private dining rooms, and a full service sushi bar. For only $42pp, we got this entire sushi spread you see below. I was full even before the nigiri came out! That’s saying a LOT for us sushi aficionados who are always complaining that regular omakase just doesn’t fill us up enough. Trust, you’ll be waddling out of there after devouring that Premium Zen menu.

Haru Korean Kitchen

324 Cambie St | Gastown | Vancouver, BC

We actually stumbled upon Haru Korean Kitchen while trying to dine at Meat & Bread in Gastown which was closed for renovations. Boy were we sure glad we found them! There was only 2 other tables dining at the time we arrived and we quickly realized there was only 1 chef at the helm, Mrs. Lee who would be cooking for all 3 tables simultaneously. We were famished and ordered so much food I was afraid she would be behind but dang Mrs. Lee is FAST y’all! Not only were these Korean dishes truly authentic (we dine out in Ktown every week so we know what to compare it to) it seems this establishment is family owned and operated, YAY to supporting small businesses! Everything was delish but the  braised spicy pork ribs were especially exceptional.

Kingyo Izakaya

871 Denman St | Vancouver, BC | V6G 2L9, Canada

Kingyo Izakaya was referred to me by a Vancouver native so I was excited to see that Yelpers loved the spot too! The vibe is intimate and cozy but still great for groups since each standard table could fit up to 10 people. We had high hopes for some greasy Japanese pub grub and grilled yakitori, but sadly everything was heavily salted that day. MUST ORDER the deep fried fresh corn holy shizznitz it is CRAZY BOMB!!! I know what you’re thinking… um hello, it’s only corn. How good can it be? So good that I’d actually give this place another shot for a small cob.

Yuan’s Garden Restaurant

8077 Alexandra Rd | Richmond, BC | V6X 3A6, Canada

BEYOND grateful to my fellow Yelpers for putting Yuan’s Garden Restaurant on the map! Don’t let the moderate number of reviews fool you (4 stars out of 86 reviews), this place is LEGIT!!! So legit in fact only 1 out of 10 employees there actually speak English, lol. Even the patrons looked like they have been dining here with their family for generations.  Trust guys, EVERYTHING was sensational! Here’s what we had so you know EXACTLY what to order (plus more!): Soup dumplings, chicken feet, green beans, sweet and sour fried whole fish, black vinegar spare ribs, and their claim-to-fame House Special Spicy Chili Crab. Like I died and went to CRAB HEAVEN guys. This little guy alone cost us $75CND but was SO.WORTH.IT! Calories, cost, and all!

My ONLY gripe about Yuan’s Garden was that someone forgot to cook white rice in the kitchen so the ENTIRE restaurant had no white rice to eat with their meal until they were almost done! We tried to eat very slowly but after 30 minutes of having incredible dishes served one by one, we just couldn’t take it anymore and devoured almost 3/4 of our meal before the rice came out. Of course I understand sh*t happens so I won’t dock them for this oversight. That’s saying A LOT about the cuisine here guys! They don’t mess around! Come hungry, leave happy, you won’t be disappointed!

That’s a wrap for another EPIC vacation with my loves!
