We began my brother-in-law’s 50th birthday celebration in Europe just last month and ended it with an all-out Japanese
themed BANG back in the states.

What started out as an intimate gathering for a few of his bestest friends quickly turned into a crazy rager that lasted through the wee hours of the morn!  Man these guys sure can partayyyy!!!  Peep out my latest event design below…

#JKID Event Design | Golden Glam Japanese Birthday

Design and Decor

A trip down memory lane… Pulling out personal photos of family and friends adds a depth of sentiment to the decor.  I love how guests are enjoying spotting themselves from back in the day until now! Fun and interactive, every birthday celebration should feature a gallery of pictures.

The Vibe

Outdoor decor and bar featured everything black, gold, and GLAM! I purchased dollar-store lanterns to light the space and inexpensive fans for decor.  Alongside floating candles placed in glass votives filled with foliage, the end result was simple, refined, and very Japanese zen.   As always, the hostess’ ensemble MUST match the theme!  You can’t call dress code without leading by example my loves…
On the Menu
We called in our personal sushi chef/ friend Chef Miki to feed the masses!  This sushi spread was so killer guys, definitely something I recommend for haute house parties!

Setting the mood with overhead globe lights strung in paper lanterns and the baddest backlighting I’ve ever installed at a house party, lol.  It pays to have friends who own nightclubs, score!

 Happy 50th Birthday Ken!!!!

Hope this summer long celebration helped usher your Golden Years in style! We love you!!!!
