I really love that LA is just a short car ride away.

Living in the ‘burbs sure does have its perks when I’m frequently beckoned to the city to eat, shop, and repeat. Doesn’t hurt that the boy works smack dab in the midst of 90210, sure makes researching good eats that much sweeter when I know all the hotspots are on the west side.
Today’s food porn comes courtesy of A|O|C, brainchild of Chef Suzanne Goin and Sommelier Caroline Styne, both of Lucques fame.

A|O|C Wine Bar

8022 West 3rd St. | Los Angeles, CA  | (323) 653-6359

On the Menu

Clams with sherry and garlic toast
Lamb osso buco, saffron, tomato, green romesco
Market fish (white fish, forgot the name sorry!), artichoke, cardoons, and meyer lemon.
Brioche with prosciutto, gruyere, and sunny side-up egg
If you’ve been following Haute Khuuture or Food Porn Fridays for a while, you’d know that my true weakness/vice/kryptonite is cheese. Good ol’ fatty, stinky, European cheese. Start my dinner off with a cheese platter and you’re a shoe-in for 4 stars in my book. End it with another decadent cheesy dessert plate and you’ve just skyrocketed to 5 friggin’ stars. Sprinkle in some seafood, a bit of charcuterie, bloody red meat, a chilled carafe of wine and you’ve got me beggin’ you for mercy Merci A|O|C!

Know Before You Go

You wouldn’t know it from the exterior, but the venue is HUGE. Super modern design (c/o Barbara Barry) with over 4 different dining areas to serve intimate date nights for 2 or party central for you and 20 of your closest friends. Does it really get any better than gourment French tapas to satiate a mixture of palettes? I don’t think so dude…book your next party HERE and you won’t be disappointed!*
TGIF y’all!
