I haven’t been back to Portland in a minute since living there over a decade ago.
I truly love that the city has vibrant grass roots dating back to the discovery of the Oregon Trail. Miles and miles of endless forest greens stretch beyond the rivers, over the mountains, and through the woods.

The Vibe

You step off the plane and can instantly feel yourself breathing better, feeling lighter, with an allover rush of straight euphoria. Yup, those Oregonians sure do take pride in their land y’all. Sure makes living in SoCal seem like a blanket of smog when Mother Nature beckons you to see clearer by the day. Ahhhhh Portland has such a special place in my heart…Here’s a snippet of what my trip entailed back to the City of Roses…
{Comfort food for brunch @Tasty and Sons on Williams, Shopping on 23rd then straight to the Pearl District, I can never miss an opportunity for some fabulous finds ala consignment, Local artwork on Hawthorne before devouring bomb.com pizza @ Apizza Scholls, Hawthorne is hipster-ville haven akin to what Melrose is here with dive bars and marquee lights galore, Loading up on carbs at the local food truck stations near Belmont before a super-busy wedding day, Bride and Groom nuptials at the beautiful St. Stephens Catholic Church, Bridesmaids in blush colored cocktail gowns, The most handsome ring boy ever! (Also my cutey-patootie cousin Dillon), Lace detailing on the bride’s vintage inspired Jenny Packham gown, Stealing a kiss on church steps, Our scenic drive to the reception located just out of town at Gorge Crest Vineyards, the MOST amazing view ever! You can see all the way to Mt. Hood from this vantage point, One of my FAVE shots I took of the bride and groom right after the cake cutting, Finishing off a family-filled weekend at the local Farmer’s Market at PSU, Jumping for fun with the tots after my mini-vacation away}

TUNE IN tomorrow for Scenes from one of the most spectacular weddings I’ve EVER attended to date!
